Split media
A copied section band. Paste it in, then own every line: it never upgrades under semver.
Invoicing
Get paid without the awkward email
Northwind raises the invoice, sends the reminders on your schedule, and flags the accounts about to run late. You keep the relationship.

HERO / split media: copy and media side by side, a true two-column row
from the medium breakpoint up.
WHEN TO USE THIS INSTEAD OF MEDIA BEHIND. When the media is a product
screenshot or diagram that should stay legible on its own terms (readable
UI chrome, real labels), rather than a full-bleed backdrop with copy
composited over it. Media behind suits an illustration or photograph that
can carry a scrim; a screenshot generally cannot without losing detail.
This one is the shipped _hero.html component with media_placement="beside"
(ADR-077, replacing what used to be a hand-built section per
icvoss/django-brickwork#118): a true side-by-side row from
--bw-breakpoint-md up, a single stacked column below it (see _hero.html's
own header for the full media_placement axis).
NO MEDIA IS SUPPLIED HERE. The `media` context var is genuinely optional
(the copy column renders correctly with an empty media column collapsing
to nothing): this example demonstrates the layout and the two-CTA copy
shape without depending on an image asset. A caller passing real media
supplies pre-rendered, safe HTML via the `media` context var (an img or an
svg); brickwork does not sanitise it.
Required context: none. Optional context: media (safe string, an image or
illustration for the media column; see _hero.html's own header for the
full Optional context list this include accepts).
States: see _hero.html's own header for the full states contract (none of
its own: a static band, both CTA buttons carry their own states).
Accessibility: see _hero.html; the heading renders as the page's own <h1>.
Reading and tab order is always copy-then-media, matching document
order, unaffected by the responsive column layout, which is CSS-only.
Covered by axe.spec.mjs against sections-*.html, which renders this
exact file, both themes.
Responsive: single named breakpoint. Below --bw-breakpoint-md (48rem) copy
and media stack in one column (media collapses to nothing here, since
none is supplied); from md upward it becomes a two-column grid (1fr
1fr), media vertically centred against the copy column.
